This policy explains how Casewell ("we", "us") handles personal data when a merchant installs and uses the Casewell app on their Shopify store.
Who we are
Casewell is a Shopify app that lets merchants run a wholesale ordering channel. Casewell is a product of OriKone LLC. Operated by OriKone LLC, contactable at support@getcasewellapp.com.
Our role
When you install Casewell, you (the merchant) are the data controller for your customers' personal data. We act as a data processor and process personal data only to provide the app to you.
Data we process
- Merchant account data: your store domain and your app settings.
- Customer data on your behalf: your customers' names and email addresses, used to identify and mark wholesale customers and to attach customers to wholesale orders.
We process only the minimum personal data needed to provide the app.
How we use it
Personal data is used only to provide Casewell's wholesale ordering features. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to running your wholesale channel.
Retention
We keep personal data only while the app is installed and needed. When you uninstall the app, or when a deletion request is received through Shopify, we delete the associated personal data.
Security
We protect personal data with encryption in transit and at rest, encrypted backups, access limited to authorized personnel with two-factor authentication, request logging, and separate test and production environments.
Sub-processors
We use Shopify (platform), Railway (hosting and database), and Resend (email delivery) for transactional notifications. Each processes data only to support the app.
Your customers' rights
Requests from your customers to access or delete their data are handled through Shopify's data request and redaction process, which we support.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
